All the headsets here are available as Monaural (single ear) and Binaural (dual ear) configurations. We will link to both versions in each case.
Binaural tend to be better when total concentration on the call is required, whilst Monaural tend to be used when the user must interact with people nearby as well as being able to quickly take calls (front of house reception staff etc).
Connectivity
The types of office headsets we’re reviewing are designed with ultimate compatibility in mind. Each comes with a “quick disconnection” feature which allows the user to swap in a connection cable that is compatible with their device, be that USB, RJ11, 3.5mm jack etc, so all will be compatible with pretty much any device you can think of that has an input.

The Jabra Biz 2300 certainly feels like a high-quality premium headset. For extra peace of mind in your investment, it comes with a Kevlar ® reinforced cable to prevent ripping or tearing (office chair wheels love to eat headset cables!). Sennheiser have been known as a company who prides itself on sound reproduction and transmission for as long as they’ve been around. The Epos / Sennheiser SC 268 is no different. The designers have chosen to go for a narrowband sound reproduction which focuses on the sound spectrum where voice is usually heard, this gives a tight focus on the voice clarity when listening, so these headsets are particularly suited for busy environments as that narrowband tuned voice sound will punch right through any underlying background noise you may have around you. The headset quality itself is high quality as you’d expect from Sennheiser. The design is plain, but functional. The sound quality is perfect!

Our second bite of the Project Telecom Cherry and it’s every bit as sweet as the last. A nice budget office headset here that won’t break the bank and has decent sound quality! The plastic frame certainly isn’t for all tastes, but it does feel substantial. The design is basic, but tasteful. For this sort of pricing, it’s difficult not to recommend them. This model also comes with a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

The Jabra Biz 1500 is Jabra’s entry level office / call centre headset, from a manufacturer with such a prestigious history it’s difficult not to put these in the main list, but they are at the cheaper end of Jabra’s range whilst retaining their excellent quality standards. You can feel this headset is from a premium brand, and even though it’s a basic headset in terms of design and features, it sounds crisp and clear (wideband audio), feels light and comfortable and comes with that same Kevlar ® reinforced cable that it’s bigger brother the BIZ 2300 comes with, so these are built to last.
